• Dear 澳门开奖历史 Families:

On April 8, 2024, a rare solar eclipse will occur that will cause 90% of the Sun's surface to be blocked by the Moon in our area. For a period of time, some of our students will be in school while the skies will darken noticeably. The eclipse will become visible at 2:15 p.m., reach totality at 3:30 p.m., and end at 4:30 p.m. (all times are approximate).

In preparation for this event, we have been planning for students to learn about this scientific phenomenon in a way that is aligned with our curriculum. Additionally, we will be providing a set of solar eclipse viewing glasses to all 澳门开奖历史 students and staff.

Safety is the number one priority when viewing a total solar eclipse. Please be aware and understand that your child's participation in viewing the solar eclipse of any of the districts involves a certain amount of risks and dangers, known and unknown, no matter how well planned, including but not limited to, eye damage, permanent and/or other bodily injuries. Please contact your child's building principal by April 8 if you prefer that your child not participate in any viewing activities.  Additionally, if you intend to pick up your child early, before the start of the eclipse, please follow your school's early pick-up procedures.

We are excited to have this opportunity to share this experience as a school community. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

    Sincerely,

    John Genova
