Capital Improvement Bond Information

In August 2017, the 澳门开奖历史 School District’s Board of Education commissioned a Facilities Committee to review the conditions of our district’s facilities and provide the board with a recommended scope of work. The committee included a cross-section of community members, district personnel, board members and the district’s architect.

The facilities committee held a total of six meetings where they discussed facility and academic needs, toured the buildings to view their current conditions, and analyzed the project’s financial impact. The committee’s recommendations include enhancements at each building, roofs, infrastructure, security, ADA compliance, interior upgrades, reconfiguration of the high school music suite, STEM and library improvements at the high school, playgrounds, and field enhancements. The proposed scope of work was designed with every student in mind.

After a comprehensive study, the committee recommended a capital improvement plan totaling $59.9 million to be funded through a bond and the district’s existing capital reserve fund balance. The vote to expend $2 million from the district's capital reserve fund and finance a $57.9 million bond will be held on May 15, 2018.
